  • Blue De Vega impressive in Killavullan Stakes

    Sat 24 Oct 2015

Exciting two year-old Blue De Vega confirmed himself as a leading Classic contender for next season with a facile success in the Group-3 Killavullan Stakes at Leopardstown this afternoon.  Michael O' Callaghan's colt made short work of his rivals in a race that has a proven record of producing top class horses.  Purchased by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock for €32,000 at the BBAG Yearling Sale in Baden-Baden last year and subsequently re-sold by Tally Ho Stud at the Goresbridge Breeze-Up Sale, we look forward to watching Blue De Vega in his Classic campaign in 2016.

  • Monteverdi impresses on debut at Newbury

    Fri 23 Oct 2015

Monteverdi ran out an impressive winner of his debut maiden at Newbury this afternoon in the manner of a colt destined for stakes company in 2016.  Purchased for €72,000 at the Arqana October Yearling Sale last year by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock and subsequently re-sold by Tally Ho Stud at the Tattersalls Craven Breeze-Up Sale, Monteverdi looks an exciting prospect for trainer Jamie Osborne and owner Michael Buckley.

  • Group-3 success for Robin Of Navan

    Mon 05 Oct 2015

Progressive two year-old Robin Of Navan followed up his Listed win in France six weeks ago with a convincing success in the Group-3 Prix De Conde at Chantilly today.  He powered clear to a facile two and a half length victory under regular jockey Tony Piccone for trainer Harry Dunlop and owners Cross, Deal, Foden and Sieff.  Congratulations to all connections and all the best in the quest for Group-1 glory next start!

  • Maximum Aurelius routs rivals at Nantes

    Thu 01 Oct 2015

Purchased from the Arqana breeze-up sale in May for €55,000, two year-old Showcasing colt Maxiumum Aurelius is another stakes class colt secured from that sale by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock in addition to Robin Of Navan.  Both colts were sold by Bansha House Stables.  Maximum Aurelius suffered trouble in running last time when finishing a close fourth in a Listed race after his maiden win, but relished the step down in class at Nantes this afternoon to rout a conditions race field at Nantes by eight lengths.  A return to stakes company now beckons.  Congratulations to his British-based owner Craig Mather and Chantilly trainer Francis-Henri Graffard.

  • King Of Swing wins on debut

    Fri 25 Sep 2015

Purchased from the DBS breeze-up sale in April, King Of Swing made an impressive winning debut at Haydock this afternoon.  Despite being slowly away and running green, the son of Dutch Art picked up nicely to win rather cosily and looks set for an exciting future for his very enthusiastic owners the Cool Silk Partnership. Congratulations to them and to trainer James Given.

  • Dazzling victory for Blue De Vega

    Wed 23 Sep 2015

Having been extremely unlucky on his debut at Dundalk when beaten just over a length despite being very slowly away having been in the stalls for over seven minutes, two year-old colt Blue De Vega made no mistake on his second start at Naas today.  Despite having to travel wide throughout from a wide draw, Blue De Vega was always travelling well within himself and powered clear to win by almost five lengths from 15 rivals.  Blue De Vega was purchased as a yearling for €32,000 by Stroud Coleman at the 2014 BBAG Yearling Sale in Baden-Baden, Germany from top German breeders Gestut Ammerland.  Trainer Michael O'Callaghan holds the son of Lope De Vega in the very highest regard and plenty more is expected in the future.

  • Perkunas breaks maiden in style

    Tue 08 Sep 2015

Purchased for 42,000gns at the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up Sale in May from Tally Ho Stud, Baltic King two year-old Perkunas looks a promising colt with an exciting future for his owner Bernard Gover and trainer Brian Meehan.  Second to Godolphin's smart juvenile Emotionless on debut at Newmarket, Perkunas suffered trouble in running when fifth in the valuable Convivial Maiden at York, but made no mistake when running out a ready winner of his maiden at Brighton yesterday.  He should make up into a quality three year-old.
