Tenacious filly Darkanna was rewarded for a season of good efforts when capturing the £150,000 Listed Redcar Two Year-Old Trophy for Richard Fahey and The Cool Silk Partnership. Having already finished second in a Group-3 in France, 5th in the valuable Goffs Premier Yearling Stakes and 5th in the Group-1 Cheveley Park Stakes, the tough and durable daughter of Dark Angel repelled her 22 opponents to capture the almost £100,000 first prize under regular rider Barry McHugh.

Sands Of Mali was a hugely impressive winner of the G2 Gimcrack Stakes at York on Saturday for owners The Cool Silk Partnership and trainer Richard Fahey. Purchased at the Tattersalls Ireland Ascot Breeze-Up Sale in April, the imposing colt followed up his striking victory in a Novice Race at Nottingham with a sensational performance at York. Bounced out into the lead by Paul Hanagan, Sands Of Mali quickened up smartly when challenged and powered clear to win by 3.5L. He heads for the G1 Middle Park Stakes next and is now the joint second highest rated two year-old in Europe.

The Tin Man followed up his victory in the British Champions Sprint last year with a superb success in the G1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot on Saturday. This was a second success in the race for Stroud Coleman Bloodstock and trainer James Fanshawe following on from Society Rock's win in the race in 2011. Congratulations to The Tin Man's winning owners, Fred Archer Racing.

Purchased for just 21,000gns at the Tattersalls Horses In Training Sale, Tim Easterby has re-ingnited Snoano's best form and the horse produced a career best to provide connections with a memorable day.

Harry Dunlop's stable star ran out a ready winner of the G3 La Coupe at Chantilly. Winner of a G1 as a two year-old, Robin Of Navan suffered a setback in the French Derby as a three year-old, but looks to be returning to his best judged on this smooth success in G3 company.

Purchased as a foal by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock for 14,000gns in 2014 and re-sold for €78,000 as a yearling, the tough and talented Mr Scaramanga continued his progression winning the valuable Al Biddah Mile in Qatar. Trained by Richard Hannon as a two year-old, Mr Scaramanga was rated 99, finishing fourth in the Listed Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot, third in the G2 Superlative Stakes at Newmarket and second in the Listed Washington Singer Stakes at Newbury. The son of Sir Percy was then sold at the Tattersalls Horses In Training Sale to Simon Dow and owner Mr. Moss who travelled the horse out to Qatar to win the valuable three year-old contest.

Purchased from the Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale in 2016 on behalf of The Cool Silk Partnership, Prince Of Lir soon went on to acheve great things by beating subsequent G1 Middle Park Stakes winner The Last Lion in both of his first two races, including the G2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot. The good-looking son of Kodiac retires to stud at Joe and Jane Foley's Ballyhane Stud in Ireland for 2017. We wish him a successful stud career.

Purchased from Tattersalls Book 1 on behalf of James and Jacko Fanshawe's racing partnership, Fred Archer Racing, The Tin Man has provided everyone with enormous enjoyment in 2016 and capped a memorable season with a dazzling victory on British Champions Day in the Group-1 Qipco British Champions Sprint Stakes. Defeating some of the best sprinters from across the globe, the son of Equiano confirmed himself as a top class performer. The Tin Man will stay in training in 2017 and we are all very excited about a prestigious global campaign.

Purchased for just 25,000gns at the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up Sale in 2012, Nearly Caught has now won six of his 22 starts, as well as being placed on another nine occasions and over £160,000 in prize money. He ran out the facile winner of the Group-2 Prix Kergorlay at Deauville today following up his five-length Listed success at the same track last month. The improving stayer looks set for an exciting autumn.
