Goffs Arkle Sale Store purchase Wilful continued his rise through the hurdling ranks this season, powering to an impressive success in the County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival for owner Mrs. Fitri Hay and trainers Jonjo & AJ O’Neill. Winner of the valuable Festive Handicap Hurdle at Ascot in December, Wilful improved again at Cheltenham off a handicap mark of 144 under a canny ride from Jonjo O’Neill Jnr. and looks set for a step up into Graded company next season.
